HOW ARE THE SUPPLEMENTS ABSORBED
Supplements like vitamin D, vitamin B12, melatonin, and caffeine are absorbed while brushing. This process is called mucosal absorption and they are absorbed directly into your bloodstream through the capillaries and absorbent tissue in your mouth.
Brushing turns out to be an incredibly efficient and effective delivery mechanism for certain key nutrients like the ones we include in our tablets. Melatonin, for example, is 10x more bioavailable. By bypassing the complex filtration systems that your body uses to process pill-based supplements, Duo gets you more of what you need, when you need it.
NANO-HYDROXYAPATITE (nHa) VS. FLUORIDE
We use a dentist-backed fluoride alternative called nano-hydroxyapatite (nHa), the natural mineral in your teeth and bones that combines with calcium and phosphate to make them strong. Decades of research have proven that nano-hydroxyapatite is just as effective as fluoride at remineralizing enamel and dentin.
Additional benefits of nHa include:
1) nHa reduces sensitivity without numbing agents by plugging open dental pores with exposed nerves.
