The Secret Behind Our Hydrating Foam
What is sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS)
Reasons to avoid SLS toothpaste
Why Duo toothpaste is different

First, what is sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS)
SLS IS A SURFACTANT - More specifically, SLS is an anionic (negatively charged) surfactant. Surfactants are molecules that bind both water and oil, which is beneficial for cleaning.
PRIMARY USES - Historically SLS is used in laundry detergents, cosmetics and toothpastes to promote foaming.
IT'S IN FOOD? - SLS is also used as a binder to make processed food such as marshmallows; however, the FDA limits SLS in such products to 0.5%.
WHAT IT'S MADE FROM - SLS is poduced industrially from palm oil and coconut oil, which have some antimicrobial properties.

foam is different!
Duo includes antioxidants and other high quality ingredients that help soothe your oral mucosa and prevent lesions such as canker sores.
We do not use SLS or any other surfactants, which dry out the mouth; in fact, our foam hydrates the mouth.
It also stimulates saliva production - saliva keeps your teeth strong and is nature’s original toothpaste, loaded with minerals and enzymes to keep your mouth healthy.
Duo tablet toothpaste is cruelty-free and never tested on animals.
